Joost took a two shot lead into the final round but a nervous start saw his advantage disappear after just two holes.

However the Dutchman’s experience saw him hold on for a one shot victory that went right to the wire. Leading by one shot at the 18th tee, Joost shot into the rough but recovered to claim the trophy in a dramatic climax.

He revealed afterwards “It was hard work down the last. I didn’t have the start I really wanted today. I just tried to hang in there and wait for my chances, and made some nice birdies at the end and a good par down the last”
